Boston’s Hallelujah the Hills are coming to Louisville & Lexington to support their 2007 release, Collective Psychosis Begone.  What’s more, they’re giving away mp3s here of a live performance of Collective Psychosis Begone from this past January.  The group is constantly compared to Neutral Milk Hotel, which may be the best compliment I have ever heard.  It may be in large part to heavy reliance upon a cello, a trumpet, and a melodica, but nevertheless it’s an incredible compliment.

The Lexington show is at The Dame on March 18th, followed by The Louisville show at the Rudyard Kipling on the following night (March 19th).

Hallelujah The Hills is essentially a more cynical animal with a fleshed-out indie-rock post-post-post-Neutral Milk Hotel kitchen-sink agenda (trumpet, Moog, cello, etc). (The Onion AV Club)
