Menomena @ Headliners – 3/11

All hail the first excellent news of the year! Menomena is one of those fantastic bands that are so so good but somehow manage to drift just far enough under the radar that you may never get the chance to hear them, or see them in Louisville. Well, that last part, not so much. The power trio will be making their way into town on March 11th (too far from now) to perform at Headliners.

After talking to some fellow Backseaters, it has become clear that not very many people have listened to the amazing tones of Menomena, or have heard of the Portland, Oregon band and just haven’t listened. If you fit into one of these categories, this will be rectified… NOW.

SIDE NOTE: On par with hundreds of thousands of animals turning up dead all across the country lately, we’ve been experiencing an unexplained phenomenon lately here at Backseat Sandbar. Every time the number ’8′ is typed before a left-facing parenthesis ‘)’, as to denote the 8th item on a list or inform you that the doors open for a show at 8 pm, a mind-numbingly hilarious sunglasses-clad smiling face appears in the post. So I’m just gonna leave this right here, because sharing is what’s gonna get us through these times we’re in. 8)
