Abbey Road on the River, a five day Beatles music festival, is back again for it’s another year at the Belvedere and Galt House Hotel from May 27th – May 31st, beginning with a free lunchtime concert on the roof of the Louisville Visitors Center. 2010 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Terry Sylvester of The Hollies will headline this year’s festival, along with performances from over 50 bands on eight stages. Other popular returning acts include Canada’s Hal Bruce and All You Need is Love, Chicago’s Britbeat, Moscow, Russia’s Alyona, Puerto Rico’s The Jukebox, Athens, Georgia’s Abbey Road LIVE, Norway’s Norwegian Beatles, and Sweden’s The Repeatles. The festival is also expanding out of Louisville, bringing the show to Washington D.C. over Labor Day weekend. While Abbey Road should remind me of my youth, but it really just reminds me of hanging out along Abbey Road headed to St. John’s Wood…
