You gotta love Will Oldham! Domino Records posted this video “A Valentine for You” announcing a new Album from Bonnie “Prince” Billy set to be released March 22, 2010. From the paint on the woman’s lower back and rear, it appears the album with be titled Bonnie “Prince” Billy & the Cairo Gang “The Wonder (or Yonder) Show of the World.” Can’t wait!! (thanks to my brother at We Listen For You for the heads-up!)
No word on a tour yet, but I did find a Bonnie Billy & The Cairo Gang show in Lillehammer, Maihaugsalen for the Norsk Litteraturfestival on May 29, 2010. I have no clue where that is, but Google tells me it is Norway. The new line-up will also be in Portland, Oregon on August 6-8 for Pickathon 2010.
Fingers-crossed for a show in the area. Perhaps at the post office or something!
